Architecture - Associate
Hoedemaker Pfeiffer is a medium-sized architecture and interior design firm specializing in the design of finely-crafted custom homes and renovations. We are dedicated to the creation of exceptional outcomes that tell stories about people and places through the experience of space, materiality, and rigorous attention to detail. Our office is located in the Georgetown neighborhood in South Seattle.
Currently, we are seeking creative, detail-oriented Associate who can contribute to the culture and design excellence of Hoedemaker Pfeiffer.
Qualifications
- 2-6 years of architecture firm experience, with at least one year in custom high end residential required
- Master/Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience
- Experience generating construction drawings through all architectural phases with working knowledge of drawing conventions and drawing organization
- Experience in managing construction documents and tracking changes through all phases of work
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to collaborate within a team and work independently
- Must have solid design skills as demonstrated by a strong portfolio
- Technical skills that include experience with materials, specifications, construction detailing, critical thinking and problem solving
- Must live in the Seattle Metro area and be willing to work in the office up to 5 days per week.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD is preferred. Training is available for exceptional candidates.
Added Qualifications:
- Hand sketching, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Enscape, Vray, and Excel skills are valued
- Permitting experience in Seattle and WA state a plus
Responsibilities
- Produce & coordinate drawings from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
- Support multiple projects simultaneously
- Provide support to Project Managers
- Support the design process and generate presentation materials
- Travel to job site meetings, as required
- Be a good citizen of our office

The Associate position has a pay range of $75,000-$83,000. Offered position and compensation will be determined based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
