Architecture - Project Manager
Hoedemaker Pfeiffer is a medium-sized architecture and interior design firm specializing in the design of finely-crafted custom homes and renovations. We are dedicated to the creation of exceptional outcomes that tell stories about people and places through the experience of space, materiality, and rigorous attention to detail. Our office is located in the Georgetown neighborhood in South Seattle.
Currently, we are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Project Manager who can contribute to the culture and design excellence of Hoedemaker Pfeiffer.
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of architectural office experience, with at least 2 years in high-end custom residential required
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience
- Experience in complete project delivery through all architectural phases from schematic design through construction administration, including the management of at least one high-end residential project from start to finish
- Proficiency in managing construction documents and tracking changes through all phases of work
- Experience in managing complicated land use and critical areas permitting with well-versed knowledge of single-family building codes
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to perform analysis of design and planning studies
- Ability to collaborate within a team and work independently
- Must have solid design skills as demonstrated by a strong portfolio
- Technical skills that include proficiency with materials, specifications, construction detailing, critical thinking and problem solving
- Must be comfortable communicating directly with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Must live in the Seattle Metro area and be willing to work in the office up to 5 days per week.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD is preferred. Training is available for exceptional candidates.
Added Qualifications:
- Licensure preferred but not required
- Hand sketching, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Enscape, Vray, and Excel skills are valued
- Permitting experience in Seattle and WA state a plu
Responsibilities
- Manage project documentation, permitting, consultant coordination, scheduling, and project tracking from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Lead coordination with contractors and consultants
- Management and mentorship of team members
- Support the design process and manage the creation of presentation materials
- Present directly to clients on design and technical solutions, as required
- Travel to regular job site meetings
- Be a good citizen of our office

The Project Manager position has a pay range of $83,000 - $88,000. Offered position and compensation will be determined based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
